DATAMEASURES™ was developed by DQM Group the award winning data value management and data governance specialist (see www.dqmgroup.com) to help data professionals and raise awareness and standards in all aspects of data governance covering data quality, data security and data regulatory compliance.

DATAMEASURES™ is backed by the IDM (see http://www.theidm.com/) who with DQM Group is conducting the largest ever survey of current knowledge and practice in data management to help create the Knowledge Bank for DataMeasures™’s which will underpin the DATAMEASURES™ benchmarking capability.

The strong demand and need for benchmarking information is being driven by the IDM Data Council, which comprises major clients including British Gas, EDF, EON and TV Licensing.   Benchmarking data was identified by the Council as the single most important requirement for raising standards and supporting business cases.  Not least, benchmarking serves to raise the profile of data as a key asset within organisations, which needs ongoing investment to maximise its value and drive business performance.
